We all love to decorate our homes for Christmas, right? So… why not making a handmade decoration for our kitchen? Waiting for Christmas is a whimsical design that I painted using the basic Decorative Painting techniques.
It’s painted on wood with acrylics and you can change the front surface of the paper towel holder, so you can have a different design according to the season.
However, if you don’t like the idea of a paper towel holder, you can easily adaot this design to another surface. It could be a plaque or a door hanger, or you could also make some cute ornaments!
The Decorative Painting techniques in this design are basically color floating and drybrushing, stencil and some glitter!
The painting pattern instructions are available also in English.
I created other Decorative Painting designs similar to Waiting for Christmas that you may be interested in: Winter lovers, Xmas Pals or Sweet welcome.
If you want to learn something more about the techniques I used, check out some tutorials on my YouTube channel: how to float colors, how to drybrush or how to use stencils.
